We launched our 5 Star Program in 2011 as a way to acknowledge and reward the lab equipment sales reps who go the extra mile to make the event a success. Winning sales reps positively engage researchers with attractive displays, equipment demonstrations, and of course their professional demeanor.
In four years of the 5 Star Program, we've seen and acknowledged some impressive performers - a few top-notch sales reps have won more than once or twice. We’ll continue to give credit where it’s due as the program goes forward, including greater visibility on our website in the form of blogs, photos, and winner announcements.
At the end of each show, we award one company and their representatives the 5 Star designation, which includes recognition in the form of: a congratulatory certificate, an email announcement to all of our vendors, and a public posting to our blog.
We also award a “Biotechnology Calendar, Inc.'s Platinum 5 Star Award” annually - to whom we think is the most sterling role model and sets the bar for excellence. In 2013, Mario Ribas of G-Biosciences and Michael Sutton of Eppendorf were awarded with the Platinum Award.
