• In 2013, UT Austin received $634 million in external research grants.

• The Dell Medical School is under construction and is expected to be completed in 2016.   

• A $295 million teaching hospital that will be called the Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas is under construction across the street from the Dell Medical School.

Last year, the BioResearch Product Faire™ event at the University of Texas, Austin attracted 59 attendees, of which 10 were professors, post docs and purchasing agents. Of the total attendees 10 were lab managers. The balance were research associates and postgraduate students. Attendees came from 9 different academic buildings and 14 different reserch departments on-campus.
