  • UCSB Researchers received $2.5M in 2020 from the National Institute on Aging, to study a large sample of brains that all have the same early-onset Alzheimer's gene mutation, for the purpose of neuropathological analysis and the development of cellular models.  The project has received $3.3M in funding since 2019. 
  • Researchers at UCSB received $2.3M in 2020 from the NIH, to study neurological and behavioral disorders; specifically how the brain distributes computational resources among competing cues to generate movement relevant to the behavioral context.
