The University of British Columbia is designing a 146,000 sqft $108M Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Innovation (ICI) building. The building will house 62 research professors and 342 research graduate students and post-doctoral scholars.
Researchers at the University of British Columbia received $401k in 2020 from the NIH to develop a novel stem cell line that can be readily differentiated into insulin-producing beta cells and transplanted into patients with type 1 diabetes. The project has received $1.2M in funding since 2018.
