In early 2016, Rutgers unveiled its new $115M Chemistry and Chemical Biology Building, which accommodates additional laboratory space to support research in drug design, alternative energy, nanotechnology, and biomaterials.
Researchers at Rutgers have been awarded $19 million from the NIH to develop drug therapies to combat the potential use of chemical weapons such as mustard gas in a terrorist attack.
The Center for Genomic Studies on Mental Disorders at Rutgers University received $3.4 million from the NIH in 2018. The center has received over $147 million since 2003.

Last year, our BioResearch Product Faire™ event had a total of 79 attendees of which 18 were professors, post docs and purchasing agents. Of the total attendees 12 were lab managers. The remaining attendees were research associates and postgraduate students. Attendees came from 17 buildings and 17 departments.
