New York University has formed a collaborative partnership with Columbia University and Takeda Pharmaceutical, to advance gastroenterology research platforms, with the goal of developing new therapies.
Key stats:
Researchers at NYU received $17.7M in 2019 from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, to study the effectiveness of medications used to treat opioid use disorder among adults currently incarcerated in the US.
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at NYU was awarded $27.6M in 2021. The Institute has received nearly $70M in funding since 2015.
Researchers at NYU received $3.9M in 2017 from the National Institute on Aging, to study the molecular mechanisms governing the propagation of toxic beta amyloid and tau protein aggregates in the the brain.
