  • Researchers at the University of Buffalo received $1.9M in 2019 from the NIH, to study how scaffolding protein MAGI1 controls the trafficking of sodium channels in pain sensing neurons.  
  • University of Buffalo researchers received $832k in 2021 from the NIH, to study the influence of aging and concomitant drugs on antiretroviral therapy neurotoxicity, and its effects on cognition and depression.  The project has received $1.6M in NIH funding since 2020.
