McMaster University received $10M in 2020 from a former university alumnus, to establish the Schroeder Allergy and Immunology Research Institute, which will research treatment and prevention strategies.
McMaster University chancellor emerita and alumna Suzanne Lebarge invested $5M in 2021 to support the creation of the McMaster Institute for Research on Aging (MIRA) and Dixon Hall Center. The Center will focus on research and services for older, at risk people in Toronto.
McMaster University developed the Cognitive Health Assessment Management Platform (CHAMP) software, to evaluate memory, information processing, attention & concentration in patients with suspected injury or disease. The software has been successfully registered with the FDA in 2021, allowing the technology to be distributed in the United States.
