Connect with Life Science Researchers at this Virtual Rhode Island Event

Brown University is establishing the Center for Alzheimer's Disease Research, which will focus on the early detection of treatment of Alzheimer's.  The Center will be created with the support of $30M in donations to the University.

  • Ranked 96th in Life Science R&D Expenditures 
  • 2020 Total NIH funding: $127,562,714
  • The RI Center for Clinical and Translational Science at Brown University received support grants of over $4M in 2020 from the NIH.  The Center has received $20.8M in NIH funding since 2016. 
  • Researchers at Brown University received $2.3M in 2020 from the NIH, to study brain mechanisms of decision making and abstract sequence.  They will also be developing computational tools to understand the underlying brain control of these processes.  The project has received $18M in NIH funding since 2013.
  • Brown University researchers received $2.3M in 2020 from the NIH, to study the impact of substance abuse on chronic diseases.  The project has received $5M in NIH funding since 2019.
