  • 2020 Total NIH funding: $758,431,960
  • In 2019, Fred Hutch expanded into the historic generator building less than a block away from campus. The 106k sqft building presents space for 200 researchers and 23 labs.
  • In 2021, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center was awarded $10.7M by the National Cancer Institute.  The Center has received nearly $297M in funding since 2018.

  • The Women’s Health Initiative at Fred Hutch received an additional $50 million in funding over the next five years for research on heart disease and cancer in women.

  • The Washington National Primate Research Center received $13.5M in 2020 from the NIH.  The Center has received $396M in funding since 2010.

  • The Institute of Translational Health Sciences at the University of Washington received $9.4M in 2020 from the NIH.  The Institute has received over $38M in funding since 2017.
